Bear (aka B.Bear short for Baby Bear) became my traveling companion 30+ years ago. When my husband couldn't accompany me on a trip, he gave me this adorable German Steiff Bear to keep me company. Bear has been on every trip I have taken since 1983. He was even permitted to go into surgery with me. My husband came up with the name for this blog when I was traveling to China with Bear and three girl friends. He knew the trip would be nothing if not a circus.

Bouy on the side of a crab shack
This was a 10 minute painting I did after looking at a picture that I had taken while traveling in Prince Edward Island NS.

Inspiration
What a wonderful day for my psyche....got almost all of the yard ready for spring...need to work on the herb garden tomorrow...had a very relaxing evening listening to the 'story' on NPR...ironically one story was about a woman who quit her job...sold her house in Monterey CA to volunteer for a year working in Monet's garden in France and another was about a painter who met Andrew Wythe which influenced his painting....
My version of "Yellow Boat" by Jonathan Green...Daniel Island SC
Discovered this artist a few months ago. I really like his work. This is a painting I did in watercolour after seeing his original work "Yellow Boat". I like the idea of looking out to sea. Why is the boat empty? What is the man looking at? Love the thought provoking questions in this picture. He is incredibly talented. I'd like to visit his studio some day. Have seen some of his works in the Greenville SC museum. I'll never be able to purchase any of his works but they sure are wonderful to look at. Check out his site to see his other works.

Catching up ...again
Amazing how times gets away from one. I've been consumed with therapy for my broken arm and painting. Did travel to the Keys for a few days in early March but not much else happening.
